One-day course that covers the fundamentals of river packrafting: gear, land travel considerations, and paddling in Class I-II whitewater. Basic river safety content will be covered, but anyone interested in a robust safety curriculum should consider taking a dedicated River Safety and Rescue course. The Lehigh River is a real gem of the region, and an amazing training ground for paddlers looking to start in Class II, those looking to strengthen their Class II skills, or those starting to think they’re ready to step up to Class III.

No whitewater paddling experience necessary, but prior paddling experience is required. This course is perfect for whitewater beginners who want to learn the ins and outs of river packrafting. More experienced paddlers can benefit by challenging themselves to execute more technical and complex exercises in a relatively low consequence environment.
